The joy in managing your own time

One thing I really appreciate as an entrepreneur, is to run my own time. To be able to choose where and when I want to work, and how much or little I want to work. Like around christmas-time, I allways take 2 weeks off. If I was emploied I couldn't take time off whenever I wanted. And I allways take 4-5 weeks of in the summer, and around every holiday.

In the 90's I hade my own women clothing store, and a store need to be open everyday, all day, no matter if I was sick, tired. After 4 years I decided to close my store, it wasn't worth working that much, I had enough and decided to never have a store with fixed open hours.

2012 I started my current company, and from start I decided to not have fixed open hours and only receive customers by pre-appointment. After a few years, the thoughts came about how I could further develop my desire for time freedom, and when I attended a Start-your-own training course, I remember that we talked about how the ultimate business was to be able to make money while you sleep, and we realised it was not so easy and that possibility was very limited, etc.

But, when I started building my Network Marketing business in 2019 and learned how it works, I realized that this was exactly what I was longing for.

I work when I want and where I want, usually from home, at the caravan or while traveling, and I create a passive income, i.e. "I earn money while I sleep". I don't need to take on clients that I charge by the hour to generate my income, I don't need to have any opening hours, I don't even need to stay at home, and do most of it online or by phone, except for the times I go away and give lectures somewhere, or going to a conference, which is just nice.

Now I still love taking on clients and will continue to do so, but my plan is to let it go over time, and put my time and energy into building my Network marketing business more, to create a growing passive income and create even greater freedom of time and enjoy life more. Life is so much more than just work, work work, isn't it 😉
